FIXING UP YOUR BATHROOM ON A BUDGET...

Tackling a bathroom redo can be kind of daunting to the newbie decorator, but believe me its a task you CAN undertake and have amazing results. Each of the items on this list can be accomplished for under $100!

TIME TO PAINT!

Hasn’t it been long enough? Get a new paint color on the wall (and even the cabinets) and see how your bathroom transforms from blah to WOW! We're seeing so many new, fun bathrooms out there so don't be afraid to play with bold colors and patterns. If you choose to go with a darker color, be sure to buy a paint/ primer in one.

The Damage: 1 gallon of Behr MARQUEE interior paint [$40-$47], Frog Tape [$6], foam roller [$7], paint tray 3 pk. [$5]

FRAME IT UP...

This is one of the cheapest and easiest fix-ups. Framing the mirror is an instant way to upgrade the look of your bathroom making it look more high-end and giving a finished quality to the space If you can't be bothered with a contractor or going the DIY route, there is a company now that makes these to your specifications and you simply stick them to your mirror when you install. No need for a contractor!

LIGHT UP.

No, no, no. Put the cigarette down girl. We mean LIGHTING! Those tired builder-grade clear bulb fixtures are a NO...just no. Switch them out for something that matches the style of the rest of your home and your personality.

BASKET CASE...

Ditch the 90's Caboodles (I know...we all loved them, but its time to grow up, boo) and opt for wire or woven baskets to store your toiletries. You can find wicker baskets, tins and other items at a thrift store large enough to hold toiletries. You especially want to do this for your guest bath. It makes guests feel special and lends that bourgeois hotel feel that they're sure to appreciate. Pro-tip: Take those mini toiletries that we ALL steal from hotels and add them in your guest bath. Thank us later ;)

The Damage: We love these cuties from Target, and the best part...$12.99!

TOWELS!

This may seem like a simple tip, but wrapping yourself up in huge, fluffy towels in your favorite color is an instant mood booster and feels super luxurious. Plus, towels go on sale ALL the time so why not just grab some extra the next time you see them?

ACCESSORIZE.

Who said accessories were just for the living room and bedrooms?! Your bathroom deserves some love too! Bring in artwork for your walls, plants, even your soap dispenser and toothbrush holder can be upgraded to make your bathroom feel brand new.

GET CURVED.

You may get enough of this in your dating life [lol] but seriously, a curved shower rod is another small way to make you bathroom feel upgraded AND larger. Standard shower rods can make your shower feel cramped and who really wants to shower with the curtain liner sticking to them every 2 seconds?! Curved rods trick you into feeling like your shower is bigger and more luxurious. Throw in a cute new shower curtain and you've instantly transformed the space.

The Damage: Oil-rubbed bronze curved shower rod, Wayfair [30.99]

Each of these tips can be done for $100 or less...soooo what are you waiting for? Your new bathroom awaits!
